Professor Patricia Leighton has worked in legal education, both in the UK and overseas, for over thirty years. Until 2007 she was Jean Monnet Chair in European Law at the University of Glamorgan, Wales, and Visiting Professor and several universities , including the College of Europe, Brugues. Belgium. She has served on a variety of policy making bodies on legal education, is currently Associate Editor of The Law Teacher and serves on the Strategy Group of the UK Centre for Legal Education (UKCLE) She is a researcher and writer on Employment Law, has written a number of books-most recently Out of the Shadows: Managing Self-employed, agency and outsourced workers(2007) ButterworthHeinemann9win M.Syrett, R Hecker and P Holland) and acts as a consultant to leading UK employers and professional bodies, including CAPITA plc.

Yasser Mahmood graduated with a First in Law and went onto to complete his Bar Vocational Course at BPP Law School in London. He has commercial experience in legal practice and legal recruitment. He has worked as a Political Researcher to Professor Nicolas Bourne AM at the National Assembly for Wales. Researcher to Stephen Kamlish QC at Tooks chambers and acted as a member of the defence team in the case of R v Dr Mohammed Asha 2008 Woolwich Crown Court (the London and Glasgow Airport bombing conspiracy of June 2007). Dr Asha was acquitted. He lectures in law at IPAG Business School in Nice.
