HOW TO MAKE LAW IN A BOX WORK FOR YOU!
We know, at Law in a Box, that students studying Law learn in different ways and what works for one student does not necessarily for another. Some work well with texts, others learn best with visual images and yet others thrive on interactive, on-line discussions and tutorials. Some like to work alone; others benefit from working in groups. We also know that your priority is passing assessments and achieving the highest performance that you are capable of. Therefore, we, at Law in a Box, have constructed an innovative, on-line package of materials and activities, all designed for you to achieve success. For example, our texts give you information and tips on how best to study the subject and what further reading to do to get those high marks. We are developing materials on learning skills and practical legal skills and these will be gradually added to our materials. Look out for them in 2009-10!
We also offer flexibility and convenience. If you are studying for a Law Degree or GDL/CPE we provide a wrap-round package of materials and activities that covers the core Law subjects, and taken together they provide a variety of materials and facilities for each subject. They are all delivered to your pc and can be accessed to suit your life-style. The package includes a text, videoed lectures, Question and Answers, an on-line multiple choice test, interactive on-line seminars and optional add-ons such as individual tutorials, and essay marking and feedback. This package is carefully co-ordinated and constantly being reviewed and updated. We know that law students must have information that is up to date and relevant, so we also have short articles on our website. These aim to ensure you are on top of your subject and aware of the “hot” topics.
You may come to Law in a Box with different needs. You may be struggling with one Law subject or aspects of it, though you feel generally confident about your understanding of law (You can check this using our Q and As or multiple choice tests). You may want to “pick and mix”, ie download specific book chapters or video lectures. You may want to do a trial examination paper or essay. The decision is yours and the package we offer provides choice, flexibility and variety of learning materials. We believe you should take control, of your learning and get the most out of Law in a Box. We are constantly aiming to improve what we do, so let us know about your experience of using Law in a Box.
Best Wishes
